Journey to Jaboncillos

Did you know it's possible to enter Mexico by rowboat? Yes, it is, as you will see shortly. But the bigger question is Why? Because it's the only practical way to get there, and there is Jaboncillos, a tiny pueblo south of the Rio Grande on the northern edge of the Mexican state of Coahuila. Eight of us from Montana, Colorado and Texas are going there for a week to help local villagers build a school, under the auspices of Rio Grande Borderland Ministries, an initiative of the Episcopal diocese of west Texas and New Mexico. So grab those oars (and shovels and other tools) and come along for the ride!
